The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are actually open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the subsequent criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house with a combined gross domestic income that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family income doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the here Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the proper Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or plan to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for website matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of here their application.
